1958 Ford Thunderbird

After three years on the market, the original Ford Thunderbird gives way to a brand new car, that has very few in common with its predecessor. The new “T-Bird” is a squarish, heavy-looking vehicle designed with luxury more than performance in mind. Capacity is increased to four passengers, while the initial convertible is now joined by a hardtop coupe. Introduction is postponed to late during the model year, the car being presented to the press in January 1958 and hitting the showrooms during the following month.
