1957 Ford Thunderbird

Finally acknowledging that the move of the spare tyre to the rear of the car has been a bad idea, Ford transfers it back to the boot this year, but lengthens its car not to lose luggage space. The front end is cleaned up, while discreet fins are added on the rear wings. Engines are more powerful to compensate for the increased weight, but for those who would still find them insufficient, a supercharged V-8 is made optional.
