1975 Ford Thunderbird

Much of Ford’s engineers concerning their Thunderbird personal luxury coupe go to the brakes this year. A new “Hydro-Boost” system is coupled to four disc brakes, the rear ones receiving the Sure-Track anti-lock system as standard equipment.

● Introduction: September 1971. Construction: body on separate chassis. Engine: water-cooled V-8, 7.5-litre, 218 hp, mounted at the front. Transmission: to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic gearbox. Suspension: independent at the front, rigid axle at the rear. Brakes: hydraulic, to discs on all four wheels, with servo. Length: 574 cm. Top speed: 200 kph. Range: two-door hardtop coupe.
