The 1976 Thunderbird is unchanged but Ford tries to uphold the interest in its car by offering three new optional luxury groups this year: Bordeaux, Crème & Gold and Lipstick based on their colour combinations. Air conditioning is now standard on all T-Birds.

Transmission: to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic gearbox. Suspension: independent at the front, rigid axle at the rear. Brakes: hydraulic, to discs on all four wheels, with servo. Length: 574 cm. Top speed: 190 kph. Range: two-door hardtop coupe.
