2011 Alpheon CL240 to EL300

A newcomer, Alpheon is actually the name chosen for a luxury sedan built by Daewoo in its Bupyeong plant. Rather than an original design, it is nothing else than a rebadged Buick LaCrosse. Introduced in April 2010 at the Busan International Motor Show, its production starts in August, and it hits the market during the following month.

Alpheon CL300
The Alpheon is based on the Buick LaCrosse from model year 2010. This means, rather oddly, that it is powered by the 3.0-litre V-6 that has now been discontinued in the US. The four-cylinder variant soon joins the initial V-6 car. Presented as a luxury automobile in Korea, the Alpheon can be purchased in a variety of colours... providing that the customer will choose from white, light grey, dark grey or black.

Alpheon EL300
Though the CL300 receives a very generous equipment as standard, GM’s intentions are to make the Alpheon a very luxurious automobile and, therefore, an even more posh version is proposed as the EL300 Supreme.
