1953 Lincoln Full-Sizes

On the outside, Lincoln models for 1953 remain virtually identical to their predecessors. Under the bonnet, on the other hand, their V-8 sees it two-barrel carburettor replaced by a four-barrel, boosting its output to a potent 205 bhp. Unfortunately, sales are hindered by a fire that destroys General Motors’ Livonia plant, which produces the Hydra-Matic automatic transmission that comes standard with all Lincolns.
