1975 Mitsubishi Lancer and Celeste

The Lancer receives a very mild update in October 1974, which includes much larger L-shaped taillights on saloons. A new dashboard is also introduced, while an air conditioning system is a rare option for a car in this price range.

Biggest news for this model year come in February 1975 though, when Mitsubishi unveils an elegant hatchback coupe based on the Lancer’s chassis. Generally known as the Celeste, it is more exactly called Lancer Celeste by its manufacturer on its domestic market.
